This is a great book for those who want some theory and background, but especially good hands-on ideas and suggestions.  The authors are very talented and well versed in the field, and the book reflects their experience and ability. They have explained the widely accepted idea that visual supports are very effective for those working with students with ASD and looked at how these supports are used in many different settings and situations from a variety of theoretical perspectives.  Parents and practitioners will especially appreciate how clear and concise explanations of some basic principles are followed by numerous wonderful pictures of many excellent examples.  The book will be of great benefit to parents and teachers and other direct care workers who want more effective strategies, descriptions of what these strategies are, and splendid examples of what they might look like.
