Emma Martin leaves her home in Minnesota to move to Sea Isle, Florida to start a new life after she broke off with her fiance for cheating. Her first night there she is stranded by a heavy rainstorm and seeks shelter at the Sea Isle Lighthouse where she meets widower, Nathan Green. He invites her to stay and warm up, and they begin to bond. As their friendship grows, Emma starts helping him save the lighthouse, which the county wants to demolish. Their friendship grows into love, and Nathan proposes.
