When Jan and Sarah learn that Patch, their beloved dog friend, has been lost, they decide to become detectives and set out to find him. First they have to find Patch's new owners. They live a long way from the pet store where the girls first met Patch. Being detectives is hard work but the girls are determined to find Patch.
